Responsibilities Include:

  •       Assisting in the smooth running of the Stage Management department for the production;
  •       Supporting the Stage Manager and Deputy Stage Manager in all aspects of rehearsal and performance;
  •       Attending run-throughs, production meetings, and technical rehearsals as required;
  •       Preparing and maintaining props, ensuring all are in good condition and placed correctly before each performance;
  •       Managing and executing backstage cues, including scene changes, prop handoffs, and set adjustments;
  •       Assisting with quick changes and liaising with the Wardrobe and Wigs, Har and Makeup teams to facilitate smooth transitions;
  •       Supporting the running of the rehearsal room, including setting up props, marking out rehearsal spaces, and keeping detailed blocking notes;
  •       Keeping an organised and up-to-date record of all running plots, props tracking, and backstage movements;
  •       Ensuring the stage and backstage areas are kept safe, clean, and clear of obstructions at all times;
  •       Assisting in post-show duties, including resetting props and maintaining the performance space for the following show;
  •       Working collaboratively with cast, crew, and creatives to maintain a positive and professional backstage environment;
  •       Representing the company with professionalism, discretion, and courtesy at all times;
  •       Complying with all company policies and undertaking any other reasonable duties as required by the Stage Manager or senior management.

Responsibilities include

• To assist the smooth running of the Wardrobe department for each production.
• To assist the wardrobe and maintenance of all costumes during productions across the season.
• To attend run-throughs and production meetings as requested by the Head of Wardrobe.
• To prepare and label costumes prior to the first technical rehearsal, assisting with alterations as required.
• To keep costumes clean and repaired at all times during the run of the production, notifying the Head or Deputy of Wardrobe of any problems with wear and tear immediately.
• To launder all costumes across the production and arrange collection and delivery of dry cleaning as appropriate.
• To ensure all costumes (fully laundered and repaired) are in the dressing rooms, on stage or in quick change areas when required.
• To run a backstage dressing plot, assisting Company members to dress during the pre-show and to assist with quick changes during performances. Possibly assisting with the application of wigs, hairpieces and body make-up as part of those changes.
• To log all dressing plots clearly so they can be included in the costume bible for each production and to provide cover to other dressing plots as required.
• To create and encourage a supportive and positive backstage environment for the cast and crew.
• To be an active member of the team, working to support and assist staff in all other departments and providing support and assistance as needed.
• To represent the company with diplomacy, discretion and courtesy at all times, safeguarding all confidential information.
• To comply with all company policies and undertake any other reasonable duties as required by your line manager or senior management.

Responsibilities include

• Assist in realising each production’s ultimate design practically and sustainably.
• Create hair pieces and makeup from designs.
• Ensure that all hair pieces are maintained throughout the performance period.
• Assist with the overseeing of technical rehearsals, acting as the link between the Wigs, Hair & Make-up department and the creative team.
• Periodically attend previews and technical notes sessions in order to effectively support the needs of individual shows.
• Create a professional working relationship with acting companies, giving them a sense of confidence in the department’s abilities and taking care and responsibility of the company’s Wigs, Hair & Make-up needs.
• Alongside the Head of Wigs, Hair & Make-up, to represent the department at Production and Design Meetings
• Monitor rehearsal notes,
• Support the Head of Wigs, Hair and Make-up with season planning, booking Wigs, Hair and Make-up Assistants as necessary and supporting them in their work; Managing their time, workload and welfare.
• Help ensure that all work carried out in the department follows health and safety rules & regulations and to asses as and when training may be necessary.

• To assist with and ensure the maintenance of the wigs, hair and make-up during productions across the season.
• To attend run-throughs and production meetings as requested by the WHAM HOD.
• Assisting the cast with dressing in their wigs, styling hair and/or applying make-up including any quick changes, if relevant.
• To keep any wigs, make-up appliances and hair tools clean and repaired at all times during the run of the production, notifying the Head or Deputy of Wardrobe of any problems with wear and tear immediately.
• Attend rehearsals and production meetings as required.
• Ensure that security, safety and good housekeeping procedures for the department are properly carried out.
• To create and encourage a supportive and positive backstage environment for the cast and crew.
• To be an active member of the team, working to support and assist staff in all other departments and providing support and assistance as needed.
• To represent the company with diplomacy, discretion and courtesy at all times, safeguarding all confidential information.
• To comply with all company policies and undertake any other reasonable duties as required by your line manager or senior management.
