Responsibilities include

 

To assist with dressing, including arranging and setting up costumes before the cast arrive in the building.

To assist with any quick changes if relevant.

Attend rehearsals and production meetings as required.

Ensure that security, safety and good housekeeping procedures for the department are properly carried out.

To create and encourage a supportive and positive backstage environment for the cast and crew.

To be an active member of the team, working to support and assist staff in all other departments and providing support and assistance as needed.

To represent the company with diplomacy, discretion and courtesy at all times, safeguarding all confidential information.

To comply with all company policies and undertake any other reasonable duties as required by your line manager or senior management.

Responsibilities Include:

Assisting in the smooth running of the Stage Management department for the production;

Supporting the Stage Manager and Deputy Stage Manager in all aspects of rehearsal and performance;

Attending run-throughs, production meetings, and technical rehearsals as required;

Preparing and maintaining props, ensuring all are in good condition and placed correctly before each performance;

Managing and executing backstage cues, including scene changes, prop handoffs, and set adjustments;

Assisting with quick changes and liaising with the Wardrobe and Wigs, Har and Makeup teams to facilitate smooth transitions;

Supporting the running of the rehearsal room, including setting up props, marking out rehearsal spaces, and keeping detailed blocking notes;

Keeping an organised and up-to-date record of all running plots, props tracking, and backstage movements;

Ensuring the stage and backstage areas are kept safe, clean, and clear of obstructions at all times;

Assisting in post-show duties, including resetting props and maintaining the performance space for the following show;

Working collaboratively with cast, crew, and creatives to maintain a positive and professional backstage environment;

Representing the company with professionalism, discretion, and courtesy at all times;

Complying with all company policies and undertaking any other reasonable duties as required by the Stage Manager or senior management.
