Ron Cook / Sir Charles Gurney

Ron Cook has worked extensively across theatre, film, television and radio since the 1970s. On stage, he appeared in the original 1988 production of Timberlake Wertenbaker’s play Our Country’s Good.  He was nominated for a Laurence Olivier Award in 2000 for his role in Juno and the Paycock at the Donmar Warehouse.  Other recent credits include Sir William Gower in Trelawny of the Wells and Pistol in Henry V for which he was nominated for a Laurence Olivier Award.  He has enjoyed numerous roles in TV and Film, some of his credits include Mr Selfridge, The Mystery of Edwin Drood, Vera, Garrow’s Law, Red Riding 1980, Black Adder, Hot Fuzz, The Merchant of Venice, Charlotte Gray, Chocolat.  And his most recent radio credits include Good Omens, Dr Thorne and Barnaby Rudge.
